16x12in Large Slate Cheese Board for Meat, Cheese, Appetizers – Slate Platter with 2 Chalks – Perfect for Housewarming, Christmas, Mother’s Day

I really like this board. I bought it to sit next to my stove on the countertop. It replaces a glass board of the same size. I was always afraid to set anything on the glass board, fearing it would break. I have less fears of that with this one. Stone is harder to break than glass.I also have cats who sneak up onto the countertops when they’re not supposed to! My glass top stove is covered in cat footprints across the front, apparently an overnight cat highway!! I decided to get slate because it has a matte finish and won’t show cat footprints. I can also set hot pans on it without worrying about anything, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. I looked at Granite, but it was twice the price, and it would show cat prints. I really like the mat finish.My only complaint is that the rubber feet do not hold it in place on my countertop. It slides very easily which I do NOT like. So I purchased some silicone feet that were very sticky, and I simply stuck them over the top of the rubber feet. Now the board doesn’t move at all!! It actually gives it a little more height so it’s easier to pick up.It arrived extremely well packaged!! I could tell that great care was taken by the company to prevent breakage during shipment. It arrived to me in perfect condition! I’m hoping to get many years of use out of this board! I’m 64 years old, so hopefully for the rest of my life. Lol!!My only suggestion to the company, is to trash the rubber feet on the bottom, and replace them with silicone!!
